We are Moonshot and Moonshot are Daniel Kent, Richard Wolfe & Jeremy Grant. Our music doesn’t fit neatly into a single genre but is an ever-evolving blend of dance, pop, trip-hop, rock and indie influences. This lets us produce diverse songs that we hope are accessible and yet innovative and original. We don't have a front man. Instead, all three of us are equally involved in writing, singing, performing, mixing and production. This allows us to keep things fresh and stops our egos getting out of control - that's why we've been able to write music together for well over a decade. Like most bands we aren’t fond of comparisons. However, we admit that they're a good starting place. In that spirit, we will share with you the fact that we have been likened to artists such as New Order, William Orbit, The Flaming Lips, Massive Attack and Pet Shop Boys amongst others. For those rock addicts out there - keep an open mind - there are several tracks on our new album that might surprise you… Our last two albums, Friday Street and Fear Today, Gone Tomorrow were both well received by the music media and we hope our latest Uncertain Weather will follow this trend. Uncertain Weather contains 10 original tracks and is darker and grittier than its predecessors. There are trip-hop grinds (Lust, First Snow), guitar-driven stompers (Dirty Hands, Lust Part II) and club anthems (I Dream of Daylight, Crystal Mighty) as well as the haunting and epic title track that brings the album to a close. We believe this album is Moonshot at our most challenging and diverse. |
